The Catcher’s Mitt Program is a catch-the-child-before-they-fall academic program to respond to the current pandemic circumstances. The Catcher’s Mitt program is for children who are already showing signs of falling behind in school due to distance learning.
Our goal is to build knowledge and skills among the teachers, staff, and school resource officers to recognize and manage adjustment disorder crises in school, and access needed community services. In addition to academic success we aim to foster a toolkit including:
-Conflict Management Skills
-Creative thinking Skills
-Cultural Awareness
-Listening Skills
-Positive Response to Discipline
-Organizational Skills
We take a holistic approach to meeting the needs of your child. If they are part of our program their needs will be addressed through the following components: education, counselling, healthy recreational activities, STEM through coding, and creativity through art. We fulfill these services through professional, verified, background checked case managers and mental health specialists.
